InnoSport AI: Performance Analysis Platform for Striking Sports
1. Introduction
InnoSport AI is an AI-powered sports analysis platform designed to enhance athlete performance in striking sports such as golf, cricket, tennis, and baseball.
As a UX Designer at TechNest, my role was to create an intuitive and functional solution that allowed athletes and coaches to upload, analyse, and provide feedback on training videos efficiently.
2. Site Map (Provided by the Client)
The client provided a well-defined structure for the platform, categorising users into three key types:
🏌️♂️ Athletes
Upload and manage training videos.
Receive AI-driven analysis and feedback from their coach.
Access metrics and track performance improvements.
🏋️♂️ Coaches
Review videos and provide structured feedback with annotations.
Compare athlete performance over time.
Use AI analysis tools to enhance feedback precision.
3. Initial Wireframes
The first wireframes focused on:
A simple experience for athletes, ensuring a clear upload and review process.
An intuitive dashboard for coaches, enabling quick access to videos and feedback tools.
A modular design, allowing future feature expansions without disrupting usability.
4. Inspiration
For the platform’s design, I drew inspiration from visual styles, layouts, colour schemes, and UI patterns commonly used in sports analysis tools and e-learning platforms.


5. High-Quality Wireframes
After initial validation with the client and stakeholders, I created the interactive prototype in Figma with their visual elements to test user flows and navigation.
Key iterations included:
✅ Optimising the dashboard with quick access to key metrics.
✅ Enhancing the video feedback tool, allowing more visual annotations.
✅ Refining the information hierarchy for easier access to relevant data.


6. Final Design
The final design of InnoSport AI balances functionality, clarity, and a modern aesthetic, following the client’s request for a dark theme. The UI prioritises data readability, intuitive navigation, and seamless interaction between athletes and coaches.

Dark theme for a sleek, professional look, reducing eye strain during prolonged use.
CTA buttons in blue to stand out against the dark background, ensuring clear navigation.
Subtle gradients and contrast to highlight key information without overwhelming the interface.
📊 Dashboard & Data Visualisation
Minimalist yet detailed layout, displaying key performance metrics without clutter.
Dynamic charts and progress tracking to give athletes an instant overview of their improvements.
AI-powered insights are integrated seamlessly within video playback, providing real-time annotations.
🎥 Video Analysis & AI Chatbot
Embedded AI Assistant: Offers real-time feedback directly within the athlete’s uploaded videos.
Coach-Athlete Chat: A separate communication hub for structured discussions alongside AI-generated insights.
Annotation tools allow coaches to draw, comment, and compare multiple video sessions.
📱 Mobile-First Approach
Fully responsive design ensuring a smooth experience across mobile and tablet.
Optimised touch interactions, with swipe-friendly navigation and pinch-to-zoom functionality for video analysis.
Conclusion
The InnoSport AI project was an exciting UX/UI challenge, particularly in integrating advanced analysis tools while maintaining ease of use.
Through weekly iterations with the platform’s creator and a focus on simplicity, we developed a functional and scalable product.
